ERIE CONVENTION QUILT 2011

Marg O'Neil, awards chairperson, give plaque to Sandy Weimer for her dedication and hard work for the organization.  This is the fifth quilt Sandy has presented to the convention committee, this latest one being "SUMMER WIND" for the Erie convention.

"Summer Wind", pictured above was won this year by Marg O'Neil.  It was made by Sandy Weimer (left) and contributed to G&CICA for the Erie convention 2011.

OKLAHOMA CITY

CONVENTION QUILT 2010

This wonderful quilt was designed and crafted by Sandy Weimer.  It took countless hours to complete.  The results are this 72 x 72 quilt, nice to dress up any bed.  This was offered at the 2010 convention in Oklahoma City this year and won by Sandy Glenn.

and from a previous convention:

Diane Nicholas, our gracious hostess for convention in Maine in 2008, commissioned two throws for the raffle. One was a lush throw of the Watson Curtze Mansion of Erie which G&CICA has supported in the past and the other was the club logo. Both were wonderful wins!

The Texas Quilt in 2007 was awarded to Shirley Willard of Illinois!  Congratulations, Shirley.  You now own a labor of love created by Sandy Weimer, the convention co-ordinator.

Sandy also designed a smaller quilt which incorporated all the convention patches, so that new owner, Cy Quam,  has a unique bit of 16 year history, dedicated to those members who have died since G&CICA was organized with their first convention in 1992.
